The Spanish republican project that came into power in 1931 relied on a strong support of the cultural world. Written media were used to spread its reforms that it supported. In political and literary circles, numerous publications were released by established writers as well as by the witness of this period. The publication of newspapers went on during the Civil War. Even the boats that transfered the refugees to Mexico, had three publications that proclaimed the necessity of staying united after the arrival. This intention was implicit in the school newspapers of the four Spanish schools in the Mexican capital and helped to keep track of Spain’s presence as a common referent.

As such, with the passage of time, these have been transmitted and known by different generations who have been able to learn the different cultural codes and socialize playing the same games as their ancestors. In Mérida remains a nice funerary stela dedicated to a young girl. For many years the interpretation was that it means a dedication of a teacher to her disciple and therefore a unique example of women teaching in Hispania was imposed. Although this view is still ruled today remains in various studies that false belief. The reality is that there is no evidence that women, except of certain situations associated with the formation of the slaves, developed an educational activity in Rome. This circumstance remained with the triumph of Christianity. Hispania was no exception in the Roman world.

The article continues the discussion about the identity and history of the Polish social services. In particular, it addresses the genesis and beginnings of the formation of the educational system of social workers. The memory about the beginnings is an indispensable element of thinking about the future in the present. Coming up with solutions for the future without respect for the achievements of the past creates a risk of committing errors of the past generations. It also entails the risk of neglecting the development of proven solutions which are well-grounded in Polish social, cultural and mental conditions.
